Change at the top

Owen Hayward has recently taken up a new post as AALS Senior Inspector for Wales. It’s no surprise to us that he has moved on to this important role as he has been at the forefront of many National strategies over the past 10 years .  If you have been involved in organising school visits or adventurous activities in the last 10 years you will almost certainly have crossed paths with Owen  and will have benefitted from the systems that he has put in place . We wish Owen every success for the future . Interviews are to be held this week for Educational Visits Advisory role and the outcome of this will be added to our News page shortly.

Owen also had an important part to play as the Head of the  Outdoor Education Service as it faced tough economic times in recent years. His visionary leadership has ensured that the centres are now in a secure position to face the future . This strategic role for the service will be taken on by Jenny Wilson and Chris Near.
